In these great days of Holy Week and the Easter season, we are blessed anew with the graces of Christ’s Resurrection. His new life is given to us in every sacrament throughout the year, but something about celebrating Easter helps those graces find fertile ground within us. May our risen Lord draw close to you with His love at times and in places you would never expect.
March has been a busy month. Sandi and I attended the State Free-throw contest in Fresno where Roman Bejarano and his team did a fantastic job organizing and executing the event. Thank you, Roman. Sandi and I also attended several testimonial dinners this month and are gratified with the warm welcome that we received from the chapters.
Membership continues to increase because of your hard work. Please keep up your efforts. The Church, the Parishes, the Order and your community benefit from new members.
Sandi and I are looking forward to meeting all of you in Santa Clara at the annual State Convention. The theme for this year’s convention is “Celebrating God’s Love Through Family, Youth & Vocations.” Convention General Chairman, Former Master Bill Glover and Assistant Chairman Vince Perpetuo, have been working diligently all year to make this event enjoyable for everyone. Activities are printed elsewhere in this newsletter. Please consider attending.
Two other important events also are coming to California. The first is the Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration on Sunday, August 5, 2012 to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and second, the Supreme Convention to be held at Hilton Hotel in Anaheim on August 7th – 9th. Please consider helping at these international events. You can get volunteer forms through the State Office by calling Dana or Nick (909) 434-0460.
May your Easter season be filled with every grace of the Resurrection! Sandi and I wish you all a very Happy Easter. Rejoice!
St. John Vianney, pray for us.
Charles Clark, State Deputy
