Degrees that make a Knight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Order is dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. <\/h2>\n\n\n

Charity-Unity-Fraternity (CUF). Our Catholic faith teaches us to \u201cLove thy neighbor as thyself.\u201d Members of the Knights of Columbus show love for their neighbors by conducting varies charitable acts, a call we answer every day. Unity means none of us is as good as all of us. This principle helps Knights realize their true potential as Christian brothers and the sacred power of unity. As a fraternal organization, our founding roots are to provide assistance to the widows and children left behind when the family breadwinner died \u2013 often prematurely. In the Knights of Columbus, we not only watch out for and take care of one another; we Knights know that \u2013 together \u2013 we can accomplish far more than any of us could individually.<\/p>\n\n\n

A new era has begun for the Knights of Columbus:<\/strong> A modern single, public exemplification ceremony can now be used to welcome men to our ranks as full members of the Order. The new ceremony combines the three ceremonies used in the past and is open to family members, church parishioners and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
