VOLUNTEERISM PROGRAM
David Longo 2018-2019 Chairman
In today’s culture, young adults face many challenges, which include challenges brought about by technology and the digital age and a secular society within school, the workplace, and amongst some peers. Many young adults are consumed by cell phones, social media, and video games, and in a sense, lack some empathy. They are also focused primarily on their own needs and what makes them popular.
As Knights it is our mission to try and build up and maintain a foundation of faith in our communities. The Volunteerism Program’s goal is to get today’s young adults out of their self-centered universe and develop a sense of community. With events such as helping Habitat for Humanity and volunteering at local food banks, along with other activities, perhaps we can bring everyone a little closer together and closer to Christ.
