EFF Director Update September 13, 2026

We have just concluded our Evangelization & Faith Formation (EFF) training in New Haven, and I am excited to share some great news.

As part of COR 2.0, we were trained on the new Knights of Columbus Men’s Formation Day. Supreme has produced outstanding content for this initiative. Please note that this training is designed to be conducted in person, so my team will be delivering it directly to the Chapters.

Supreme has asked us to host our first event between October 17 and November 22, 2026. To prepare, the EFF team will meet next week and conduct at least two rehearsals prior to the launch.

Our ultimate goal with the Men’s Formation Day is to help us become true Missionary Disciples of Christ, aligning directly with our focus for this year.

Evangelization and Faith Formation Message September 2026

My Brother Knights,

I pray this message finds you and your families well. As we continue advancing Evangelization and Faith Formation throughout California, please remember that our State EFF Team is here to help your council succeed.

I recently had a great meeting with our State COR Chairman, Jim Sandoval. We discussed plans for upcoming COR sessions, including parish-wide promotion, and reviewed his plans for evangelizing the young men of the parish.

Jim and I will be traveling to the Supreme Council for Evangelization and Faith Formation training from September 10 through September 13. Shortly after we return, we will hold a statewide EFF/COR meeting to share what we learned, discuss our direction, and help councils strengthen their evangelization and COR efforts throughout California. More information about the meeting will be coming soon.

Our Assistant EFF Director, Louis Gardner, is also here and ready to help. Jim, Louis, and I are available to assist councils with starting or strengthening COR and their Evangelization and Faith Formation ministries. Please reach out to us for guidance, resources, and support.

We are also excited to announce that we will host a COR and Membership information table at the upcoming “His Love” Evangelize Now Conference 2026. The conference will be held on Saturday, October 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove. We invite our Brother Knights and their families to attend this inspiring day of faith, fellowship, and evangelization—and to stop by our table to learn more about COR and the Knights of Columbus.
