My Brothers,

Earlier today you received a directive from Supreme Knight Carl Anderson requesting that Knights of Columbus meetings and social events be suspended to minimize risk and spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).  I would ask you to respect this request which serves to protect our members, their families and those with whom they associate, especially the elderly and medically fragile who are most at risk.

Understand, however, that this is a temporary suspension which will be reevaluated on a regular basis over the coming weeks.  Decisions on State scheduled events will be made on a week to week basis as the impact of the COVID-19 virus unfolds.  At this time, the annual State Convention, May 14 through 16, in Sacramento has NOT been cancelled and will take place as planned with the expectation the current pandemic will have passed by then.

Please keep the health and wellbeing of all in our Order and parish communities in your prayers during this uncertain time.  For further information on the COVID-19 virus including precautions and preventive measures see www.cdc.gov.
